Sofia Pernas, a Moroccan born in California who grew up within Orange County, moved there when she was five years old. In 2015, she graduated from the University of California San Diego and made her debut as an actress. Pernas she had appeared in tiny appearances in NCIS and Leverage before she was cast in the role in the role of Marisa on The Young and the Restless, was a familiar face on the soap opera.
